Laser Therapy
When a physical condition or injury affects your pet’s mobility or quality of life, there is one goal: A rapid return to everyday activities. Our Clinic is proud to be at the medical technological forefront by offering MLS Laser Therapy. We have invested in the very best technology as a key component of our continuing quest to offer you the finest in health care for your pet!
MLS Laser Therapy uses specific wavelengths of light that have a strong anti-inflammatory, anti-edema effect on tissues that are exposed to the laser. Painful conditions accompanied by swelling or inflammation benefit from this technology. Photons of laser energy penetrate deeply into tissue and accelerate cellular reproduction and growth. As a result of exposure to the MLS Laser, the cells of tendons, ligaments, and muscles repair themselves faster. As inflammation is reduced, the pain subsides very quickly. In simple terms, laser energy kick-starts the healing process, thereby speeding recovery.
Get your loved one back to pain-free health more quickly with MLS Laser Therapy!
MLS Laser Therapy effectively treats pain associated with:
- Arthritis
- Tendonitis
- Wounds
- Post-Surgical Swelling
- Inflamed Ears
- Lick Granuloma
- Hip Dysplasia
- Disc Disease
- Lameness
- Sinusitis
- …and much more!
Dental Care
Dental care is vital to the overall health of any pet. Dental disease can lead to health issues with the heart, liver, and kidneys and has the potential to seep into your pet’s bloodstream. In fact, 80 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats over three years of age suffer from some form of dental disease, making it the most common pet health issue among our pet population.
Surgery
Surgery can be a source of anxiety and stress for many pet owners. Maybe you worry about whether your pet will be well cared for, or perhaps you have concerns about adequate precautions and monitoring. Not to worry, Hometown Veterinary Clinic dots every “I” and crosses every “t” when it comes to surgical care for your pet. Whether your pet needs minor surgery or a complex procedure, call us. Let’s discuss how our surgical services can benefit your pet. From common surgical procedures, such as spaying and neutering, to less common surgeries, we look forward to the opportunity to care for your pet’s surgical needs.
When your pet is undergoing routine or expected surgery at Hometown Veterinary Clinic, pre-surgery blood work will be conducted to assure strong internal health. All patients are given a pre-surgery exam in the morning. The surgery will be done during the day and routine surgeries usually go home that evening. More complicated cases may require a longer stay.
Once safely sedated, our team will complete the procedure as efficiently as possible. As the doctor works, our dedicated support staff will be present at all times, assisting with surgery and closely monitoring your pet’s wellbeing. Our surgical suite is outfitted with modern monitoring equipment and a patient warming system which helps us track your companion’s vital signs, pain levels, and keeps your pet warm during surgery.
When your pet is ready to go home, we will review your postoperative care and medication instructions. If any questions arise after your pet returns home or at any other time during the postoperative period, call us. We welcome your questions and will do all we can to help your pet recover fully.

Nutrition comes into play every single day of your pet’s life and plays a critical role in their overall health and well-being. Finding the right food for your pet can be a daunting task, especially with so many options out there. We can help.
Starting your pet on the right diet early in life is key to a long and healthy life for them, along with a proper exercise schedule. We’ll even advise you on how much and how often you should be feeding your pet for optimum results.
More than half of dogs and 60 percent of cats in the U.S. are overweight or obese. Just like humans, animals that carry around excess weight are at increased risk of developing many different health problems, like arthritis, diabetes, and more. Walk your dogs often and enjoy the bonding that comes with it. Find more time to play with your pets at home and you’ll feel great, too!
Like humans, our pets need a proper diet and plenty of exercise to live a long and healthy life. A total weight and nutrition plan from Hometown Veterinary Clinic will set your pet up for success.

At Hometown Veterinary Clinic, we emphasize the importance of preventing parasites. Through preventative measures, you can successfully protect your pet. Pets that are not protected often develop parasites, leading to serious problems for them and their owners.
