With staff members who are experienced in emergency medicine, we can quickly diagnose the problem and deliver the most timely and effective care.
Some of the signs that your pet may require urgent medical attention include:
- Difficulty breathing
- Ingestion of a foreign object or toxic substance
- Broken bones
- Cuts, lacerations or puncture wounds
- Vomiting or diarrhea lasting longer than 24 hours
- Bleeding
- Trauma, such as a fall or being hit by a car
- Swollen or tender abdomen
- Difficulty urinating
- Lameness
- Disorientation
- Foaming at the mouth
- Convulsions/seizures
- Loss of consciousness
If you are having an emergency, we always recommend calling ahead when an emergency occurs. This allows us to evaluate the situation and provide first aid instructions over the phone.
